Now that Apple canceled the Newton line, do you continue to develop TimeTrax?

There will probably be one more release of TimeTrax, but we cannot give any details concerning new features or the release date at this time.

What if I delete TimeTrax from my Newton? Can I still use my data with the builtin Dates App.?

Yes. As TimeTrax uses the standard database of the builtin dates application in exactly the specified manner, TimeTrax is fully compatible with the builtin dates application. The only things you loose when dropping TimeTrax are the additional information TimeTrax introduced. These are e.g. the event icons and the event patterns. This information is not lost, but it cannot be displayed by the dates app.

How can I register TimeTrax?

Go to our Web page at http://www.config.de/Order/ and you will find detailed instructions how to purchase TimeTrax. You will get a registration key which is vaild for all further 1.x versions of TimeTrax.

I have installed a new version of TimeTrax and the serial code in the about window has changed. Do I have to register again?

No. The serial code contains information about the version of TimeTrax. This is useful for us in order to give the user additional info when he is registring for a certain version. The registration key you get is valid for ANY further 1.x versions of TimeTrax.

When I register TimeTrax, I have to submit a serial code. How is this code created?

This depends on the version of TimeTrax and the kind of Newton device that you use.

If you use a version of TimeTrax prior to 1.1 (in which case you should upgrade anyway), or if you use an MP1x0 or EMate, the serial code is created from the owner information of your Newton. In that case, the serial code looks something like 1234-56789. If you change the owner in the owner info, the registration key no longer works and you can get the message: "Evaluation period ended, please register this software." To avoid this, do not touch your owner info. If you have registered TimeTrax and you have trouble with the owner info, please contact us so we can update your registration key.

If you use TimeTrax 1.1 or later and have an MP2x00, the serial code is created from the hardware serialnumber of your Newton and is therefore independent from the owner info. The serial code then looks something like 1234-5678-12-34. This does not work on Newton devices prior to an MP2x00 because they don't provice a hardware serialnumber.

I am using MoreInfo on my Newton. Can I use TimeTrax besides MI?

Yes you can use MI in parallel to TimeTrax. But TimeTrax uses it's own edit slips for To Dos and meetings, so you cannot edit the MI special features of your data. But the standard data can be changed transparantly to MI.

Are you going to integrate the MI-slips into TimeTrax?

No. The interface of the MI slips are incompatible to the TimeTrax slips. So we are not going to integrate these slips into TimeTrax.

I cannot find a command for printing a day or week agenda in TimeTrax

In that case, you are using a version prior to TimeTrax 1.1. You can upgrade to the current 1.x version for free.

I cannot attach notes to To Dos. Did I miss something?

In that case, you are using a version prior to TimeTrax 1.1. You can upgrade to the current 1.x version for free.

I cannot create new meetings by just drawing a line on the meeting area of TimeTrax!

In Day View you have to draw the line at the time axis of the meeting area. Please see the manual for more details.

How do I move a meeting in TimeTrax?

You have two possibilities: First you can edit any meeting by opening the edit slip (change the date or time). Second you can change the start time of a meeting in day view and in week bar view by just dragging the bar to a different time. See the manual for more details.
